Canadian yellow peas

Yellow peas are Canada's largest pulse crop by volume and the most widely traded pea class in the world. They are a staple for splitting and milling, the base for vermicelli and starch processing in Asia, and the primary raw material of the fast-growing pea-protein industry. Canada is one of the world's leading yellow pea exporters.

Yellow pea FAQs

Can you state protein content per lot?

Ask the export desk — protein reporting depends on the lot and can be discussed at quotation.

Are yellow peas suitable for both food and feed markets?

Yes. Food markets buy graded whole peas for splitting, milling, and starch or protein processing; feed and pet-food buyers purchase to separate specifications. Each quotation states the intended grade and use basis.

Need yellow peas to a specification?
